Wilderness
Mariposa Studio, a proving ground for experimentation and collaboration in the theater, dance, and visual arts, presents "Wilderness". Paleolithic physical theatre by John LeFan and the Wilderness Scouts: Michael Armstrong, Anna Dal Pino, Terese Hoibye, Joan Lazarus, John McConville, Bob Taxin, and Joe Weatherby.
"Wilderness" is about going out there, based on fifty years in deserts, mountains, on and beside the sea. It is a dance/theatre piece about a human need to go into the unknown, an impulse so profound that we are willing to leave our comfort zone, our homes, our safety.
The Mariposa Studio is an intimate, 49-seat theater in the Project Artaud complex.
