An Evening of Tudor Literature
Join BBC news presenter Martine Croxall as she presents best selling authors Leanda de Lisle and Conn Iggulden in the beautiful and historic Lady Chapel of St Albans Cathedral for a night exploring The Tudors. The Lady Chapel, used during the Tudor period is the perfect location to explore the period and we aim to help you step back in time. There will also be live music, courtesy of local folk trio Said The Maiden.
Historian Leanda de Lisle will talk about her magnificent bestselling critically acclaimed history of the Tudors. Tudor: The Family Story presents a fresh perspective on the period and is a bookshelf essential for anyone interested in this period.
Bestselling historical fiction novelist Conn Iggulden has begun a new series of books based on The Wars of the Roses. The first book Stormbird was a Sunday Times Bestseller and the second book in the series Trinity is out in October. Conn will discuss these books and tell us more about Trinity.
This is likely to be a very memorable experience and hope you will join us for this special evening 559 years after the First Battle of St Albans!
