August 14th On-The-Farm Dinner: Jerk Chicken BBQ
This week we welcome Rohan Locke and Philip Binoris to Edgemere Farm. As a part of the Edgemere "Farmily" (Philip's partner, Erin grows veggies at the farm!), we could not be more excited for the Jamaican-styled dinner these two are planning for this Thursday, August 14th!

ABOUT THE CHEFS
Rohan is Sous-Chef at Cas West Indian & American Restaurant at 135 Kingston Ave in Brooklyn. Based on a childhood memory of the best Jerk Chicken in Jamaica, Rohan has been on a quest to recreate the experience for those of us not so fortunate to live on that sunny Island. You may also find Rohan serving classic Caribbean dishes at outdoor summer street festivals. Just look for the Jamaican Cook Shop!
Philip is the owner of The Hungarian Pastry Shop at 1030 Amsterdam Ave in Manhattan, where he cooks up savory pastries with veggies from Edgemere Farm (whenever he can get some from his partner Erin). Although his background is in coffee and dessert, he will be serving as Rohan's sous chef at the grill, and hopes you will enjoy their Caribbean feast this coming Thursday at Edgemere!
SCHEDULE
Gates open at 6:00pm and dinner will begin at 6:45pm
DIRECTIONS:
If you plan to arrive by public transportation, take the A-train heading towards Far Rockaway and get off at the Beach 44th Street Station. You will see yellow sandwich board signs for Edgemere Farm once you get to street level.
A few farm tidbits... With our canopied deck, dinners are on rain or shine. We do family style so you may be sharing a table with new friends. Cozy up! We have a Facebook (like us!) and an Instagram (follow us!). Check us out @edgemerefarm.
