Two never-to-be-seen-again exciting, immersive live open-air opera shows followed each night by an all-night, crazy Renate style party....!!
More than two years since Kiez Oper's first event in the garden of Wilde Renate and 10 months since their last show anywhere! We shall present a brand new, site-specific fully-staged performance of The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell. This show will never be performed in this way again, only two chances to see it! (in original English - open air performance)
Over 300 years old, The Fairy Queen follows the story of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and features a weird and wonderful array of magical characters - pixies, nymphs, creatures half human half animal. The audience will be bewitched as the performers weave their story through the crowd, against the backdrop of the night sky. Featuring an international-class cast of singers and musicians. Plus other enticing, exciting surprises!
Featuring an incredibly talented baroque orchestra conducted by Benjamin Bayl (Staatsoper) and featuring singers from the International studio at the Staatsoper!
