Let's celebrate the bounty we find weekly at our farmers markets... please join us for the 4th Annual Evanston Harvest Celebration supporting Friends of Evanston Farmers Markets, a non-profit organization striving to educate the public about the benefits of eating fresh, locally grown foods, and advocating greater access to healthy food for all community members, regardless of means.
This event will tantalize your taste buds, as top local chefs partner with prominent Midwest sustainable growers to deliver the culinary event of the North Shore season. This year's participating chefs will be posted here soon.
The event will be held at Now We're Cookin', the North Shore's premier culinary center, Thursday, September 18, 6:00-8:30pm.
Tickets entitle attendees to a wonderful tasting meal and one glass of wine. Additional drinks will be available for cash-only purchase. Get your tickets by Labor Day, September 1, and save with early-bird pricing.
New this year - a raffle of wonderful food baskets containing delicious products from the market - a great way to sample something fabulous that you hadn't tried before!
Funds raised at the event will be used to continue Friends' educational projects as well as provide support for the LINK program, enabling families who otherwise couldn't afford the market to buy fresh produce.
