Interrupting Vanessa
Ten-year old Vanessa knows that Timmy Fibbins is a total loser. Nobody at school talks to him and he holds the world's record for throwing up - seventeen times since school started. (Nobody at school talks to Vanessa either, but she's got her reasons.) When Vanessa's mom tells her that Timmy Fibbins is on his way to Vanessa's house for the afternoon, she knows for sure her life is ruined! The visit is definitely rough going at the start. But gradually, these two misfits discover not only an unlikely friendship, but a doorway to newfound courage and self-reliance.
"Interrupting Vanessa" is a touching, yet very funny play that takes an imaginative look at how hard it can be to make, as well as lose, a true friend. And it reminds us, gently, that we're really not alone.
