The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl
The Clean House, written by Sarah Ruhl. Ruhl also wrote the hugely popular Dead Mans Cell Phone and Melancholy Play, and In the Next Room- (The Vibrator Play) among others. Gerry Gerringer, a long-time Santa Cruz theater veteran, directs the play. He chose to direct The Clean House because it is a poignant comedy/drama about women, relationships and redemption and also happens to be funny as hell. Ruhl weaves together profundity and offbeat hilarity with a masters touch.
