Girdwood Fungus Fair GCVA Workshops
Aug. 23, 10am-12pm *Workshop* Lichen Lodgings for Liliputians, Leprechauns, and Fairies (Free- donations to GCVA accepted) Come and build magical little cabins suitable for any tiny forest friend at the GCVA with local artists Kathleen Keusenkothen and Barbara Lydon. "Sticks and stones to make their homes and fungi for fine features, Come and play, enjoy the day, And build a home for tiny creatures". To prepare for class, please collect your own supplies from the forest and bring them to the workshop. Suggested forest items include: rocks, bark, leaves, fungi, moss, sticks, cones, shells, ect. Workshop location in front of Girdwood Center for Visual Arts (by the Bake Shop)
Aug. 24, 12-2pm *Workshop* Magical Miniature Mushroom Gardens (free- donations to GCVA accepted). Build your own adorable mushroom garden using locally harvested accoutriments in front of the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts building (by the Bake Shop) with local artists Vicky Clark and Mary Bloom.
