When Amaryllis, a mediocre salesgirl, learns that an impending cookie sales competition will lead to the worst girl getting kicked out, and the winner receiving an actual unicorn (albeit a miniature horse with a goat horn grafted onto its head) she consults an investment banker for help. Soon, she's faking a terminal illness, running television ads and blowing everybody out of the water. But once she's got a taste of sweet, sweet cookie sales, it's only a short leap to acquiring a payday lender, issuing adjustable rate loans and financing a cookie binge with sub-prime mortgages. Will it all come crashing down in a whirlwind of betrayal and mad scheming?
