OKLAHOMA!
Stage 1 Theatre is pleased to present "OKLAHOMA!" This classic musical brought together for the first time Rodgers & Hammerstein. This show forever changed the American musical theatre. Music and plot were melded together to carry the story. The plot is simple, revolving around the sweet romance of Curly and Laurey. However, "OKLAHOMA!" continued the tradition of SHOW BOAT in its depiction of pioneering men and women of the American Southwest. These brave pioneers of a very young America were no-nonsense people who stood strong for their way of life. Our production is directed by Robert Casillas, choreography by Kevin Hammond, musical direction by Blair Barrett, and vocal direction by Jim Burris. DON'T MISS IT!
