Writing The Suspenseful Story (5 Wk)
Picture it: you open up the fiction page of The New Yorker and the top story is yours! Award-winning author Ben Loory has done it and in this 4-week class he'll show you how. You'll learn you how to write a clear, compelling tale in five pages or less. The secret formula? He'll share imaginative ways of creating an engaging premise, sparsely crafted descriptions for maximal effect, and techniques for staying true to the logic of your story. And the best part of all is that Ben will lead you through his airtight process straight to the a satisfying ending.  By end of the class, you'll have a polished publication-ready short story as well as a solid plan for where to submit it. New Yorker font not included.
