Dallas One-Minute Play Festival
Kitchen Dog Theater (KDT) and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) have created a dynamic partnership to present The 1st Dallas One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed August 16-18 at Kitchen Dog Theater. Following sold-out performances in 20+ cities, this festival aims to celebrate local voices and investigate the local zeitgeist through this exciting process.
#1MPF will feature close to 60 brand new One-Minute Plays by 30+ playwrights of Texas' growing pool of exceptional contemporary writers, directed and acted by some of DFW's best talent.
This year's festival will feature work commissioned by: Robin Armstrong, Robert Askins, Vicki Caroline Cheatwood, Bruce R. Coleman, Michael Federico, John M. Flores, Lina Gallegos, Blake Hackler, William Jackson Harper, Isabella Russell Ides, Crystal Jackson, Jason Johnson-Spinos, Tim Johnson, Jim Kuenzer, Joshua Kumler, Jenny Ledel, Cody Lucas, Matt Lyle, Nico Martini, Brad McEntire, Jonathan Norton, Samantha Rios, Marco Antonio Rodriguez, Tom Sime, Jared Strange, Jeff Swearingen, Alia Tavakolian, Lee Trull, Angela Wilson and more.
