Chicago's The Loyal Divide wanders effortlessly between raw industrial beats, lilting pop melodies, and dreamy ambiance, evoking the experiments of Radiohead, Brian Eno, and Can, among other influences.
Veterans of some of Chicagos premier venues, including the Empty Bottle, Schubas, the Bottom Lounge, and Congress Theater, Loyal Divide creates a vibrant, echoing atmosphere on stage, channeling a fierce energy into their layered, synthesized rhythms.
Clara Kebabian began playing violin in the classical tradition, steeped in the standards of solo and orchestral repetoire through studies at New England Conservatory, Boston University, and Wellesley College. By serendipidous chance she happened upon the the power of violin+electricity+effect pedal and has been playing electric violin to audiences ever since.
