Buckin' Comedy Presents Matt Ward ft. Kenny Wingle

Co-founder of the Cape Fear Comedy Festival (NC) and creator of Knox Comedy Live (TN), Matt Ward will stop through Richmond for one night only. He will appear at Mi Hacienda's Friday Night Live Series with Kenny Wingle. Matt travels the country and has performed with Doug Stanhope, Myq Kaplan and Nikki Glaser to name a few.

Matt Ward grew up in Lancaster, Ohio and spent 8 years living in Columbus, Ohio where he earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Franklin University. In 2006, he relocated to just outside of Wilmington, North Carolina to take a job with Verizon Wireless. Soon after moving he began his stand-up comedy career. Matt started getting on stage weekly at Timmy Sherrill's Nutt Street Comedy Open-Mic every Tuesday in Downtown Wilmington. Together with other local comics including Sherrill, Ward helped build the comedy scene in SE North Carolina. In 2009 Ward and Sherrill began laying the groundwork for the Cape Fear Comedy Festival. In the fall of that year Matt moved once again, this time to Knoxville, Tennessee for a higher paying position with his company. In the spring of 2010 the Cape Fear Comedy Festival was born.

Kenny Wingle is a Native American/Polish comedian from a diverse Southwest Detroit neighborhood. Growing up with a Lumbee Indian Mother and Polish Father manifested for this laid-back charmer to find his destiny in stand-up comedy. Compound that with childhood best friends exposing him to many diverse cultures and you get an individual that truly is a melting pot of hilarious life experiences.

Now making his home in Richmond, Virginia. Wingle has quickly become a local and regional favorite, and for good reason. He has performed at many charitable events to benefit the community including Susan G. Komen and the American Cancer Society. He also has been named, by Style Weekly, as one of Richmond's Funniest Comedians for the past two years.
