20 Mile Meal 2009
Cultivating Community's 20 Mile Meal, Southern Maines most mouth-watering and conscience-raising food event, will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Turkey Hill Farm, 120 Old Ocean House Road, Cape Elizabeth. The third annual 20 Mile Meal will once again bring together the areas top chefs in a friendly challenge to create their most inventive and tasty dishes using only produce, fish, or meat grown, raised, or landed within 20 miles of the farm. The $35.00 admission ($18.00 for students/elders) includes a tasting of the freshly-prepared foods, entertainment, and farm tours. All proceeds benefit Cultivating Community, a local non-profit that operates youth and community development and education programs focused on sustainable agriculture and eliminating hunger.
