THE GRIT is a compilation of a variety of monologues which chronicles a woman's reactions to being buffeted about by the maelstrom of modern society's images and realities. The monologues are biting, poignant and sometimes bittersweet.
Barbara Brewer, a San Francisco native, is a New York and
San Francisco trained an actor, writer, director and
producer. She has her own radio show podcast
sftheatrescene.blogspot.com on which she interviews
theatre professionals in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
She has recently finished her first screenplay and is
working on a new screenplay and solo show. She has
performed various roles with Mystic Bison Theatre
including, Martha from WHOSE AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF,
Linda from PLAY IT AGAIN SAM, Arlene from MURDER AT THE
HOWARD JOHNSON'S and Paulina from DEATH AND THE MAIDEN.
She has written and performed her own material since 2002.
