DIF Workshop with Improvising Dramatic Styles (HQ)
Students will learn to improvise in the styles of Tennessee Williams, Mamet , and Sam Shepard , as well as learn to generate Second City style scene forms. Improvisers will learn the techniques of turning any scene into a theatrical style as well the kinds of scenes and their placement in a running order.
Head of the Conservatory of The Second City Chicago. 10 years as artistic director. Director of over 100 review shows including 7 resident company shows at The Second City with casts including Scott Adsit, Horacio Sands, Adam McKay, Amy Poehler and Nia Vardalos. Norm is the improv to sketch instructor for Comedy Studies at Columbia College, the only 4 year degreed comedy program in the country. He is also lucky enough to be an ensemble member of The Boys with Susan Messing.
