Emerald ash borer (EAB) is here in the St. Louis region. State and federal agencies confirmed its presence near Lake Saint Louis a short time ago. Attend this workshop to hear from agencies such as Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Agriculture, and University of Missouri Extension. Staff from Davey will be on hand as well to assist with planning tools to deal with this invasive pest. Municipalities will learn tips on inventory, planning, treatment strategies, dealing with wood residue, replacement trees and more. The workshop will be focused towards EAB planning and control for municipal and public lands, however, commercial arborists are welcome to attend. Classroom size is limited. The workshop will include a demonstration of chemical application techniques.
