West Side Stories-Risky Business
It's called a StorySlam!
We believe that everyone has a story.
Our goal is to give those stories a forum and to encourage those who doubted they had a story worth telling. Sonoma Valley Portworks provides a stage and a microphone, a theme to inspire and shape the evening, a lively and supportive audience, and Dave Pokorny to host and guide the festivities.
West Side Stories are limited to five minutes, and ten stories are heard.
The stories are scored by a random audience-member, and a winner is announced who wins $50 cash!

Stories can survive only if they are shared. Storytellers, bring stories to life they make us laugh, make us cry, make us think, and take us on journeys we never dreamt we'd go on, to places we never envisioned we could visit.
Each month a constantly changing group of storytellers are drawn together to share their individual life experiences.
