BREAD! KC at Maker Village, featuring guest chef Tyler Fox
Okay, we're especially excited to announce that (drumroll, please!)
Our friends, makers, and October 2012 BREAD! KC Grant Recipients over at Maker Village KC are hosting the next BREAD! KC event at their newly rehabbed space on Thursday, June 26th!
This is your chance to get a sneak peak of this member-based workshop before it opens to the public in Spring 2015. The organization's mission is to provide access to commercial woodworking and metal working in order to inspire and enable entrepreneurs, craftsmen/women, and artists.
Featuring the return of guest chef Tyler Fox, who joined us for our I-70 Series Cultural Exchange in St. Louis last summer, the menu will not disappoint (trust us on this one). Tallgrass Brewing Company will provide the brews. It will be good.
Purchase your tickets (sooner rather than later a limited number is available), spread the word, grab your friends and family, and help us keep the momentum going for another great year of supporting the Kansas City creative community!

BREAD! IS A PUBLIC DINNER DESIGNED TO USE COMMUNITY-DRIVEN FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO DEMOCRATICALLY FUND NEW AND EMERGING PROJECTS.
AT EACH BREAD! KC EVENT, PARTICIPANTS PAY AN ENTRANCE FEE FOR WHICH THEY RECEIVE SUPPER AND A BALLOT. DINERS WILL VOTE ON A VARIETY OF PROPOSED CREATIVE PROJECTS THROUGH A MENU AND PRESENTATIONS. AT THE END OF DINNER, THE ARTIST WHOSE PROPOSAL RECEIVES THE MOST VOTES WILL BE AWARDED FUNDS COLLECTED THROUGH THE ENTRANCE FEE TO PRODUCE THE PROJECT. WORK PROGRESS WILL THEN BE PRESENTED DURING A FUTURE BREAD! KC EVENT.
SINCE OCTOBER 2010, WE'VE AWARDED OVER $16,000 IN MICRO-GRANTSTO FUND ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.
