Fall Birds of Pepperwood
Peter Leveque, well-known naturalist and ornithologist, will discuss the important indicators for the field recognition of fall birds and then lead the class on a survey of the preserve for both migrant and resident birds. Beginning birders are most welcome. Though we may car-pool to selected areas of the preserve, some hiking over uneven terrain is required. Hiking boots are suggested and participants should bring binoculars, appropriate clothing, water and a snack. Meet at the barn. Registration begins August 26.
