Columbia City Comedy Presents Jay Wendall Walker
Wednesday May 28th at the historic Columbia City Theater, We're very excited to bring you one of the true legends of comedy, Jay Wendell Walker!
Jay Wendell Walker has been described by critical reviews as the "Heavy Weight Champion of Comedy". Raised in a family of Vaudeville performers, his career began at age 18. Show business has taken Jay Wendell as far south as Mexico, and as far north as Alaska and Canada. Jay is well known for his cross-generational appeal, dynamic monologues and hilarious facial expressions. His story telling, and hilarious facial expressions have gained success for him.
At an age when most men think about retirement, Jay Wendell Walker is just getting warmed up. Already a fixture of the Comedy scene for more than 50 years, 20 years of that in the Seattle area, Jay seems to be getting even funnier with age. He was, in fact, the undisputed champion of the 2006 San Francisco International Comedy Competition where night after night he destroyed rooms.
When you watch this funny guy pace the stage and rapid-fire his lines at the audience, it's hard to believe he's ever had the flu let alone life-threatening heart disease. In fact, the critics all seem to agree that Walker has accomplished more than making a come-back. He has come back stronger and better than ever! You could say Walker is living proof that there is indeed healing magic in humor.
