Shakespeare UnScripted
Shakespeare Unscripted
Directed by Brian Lohmann and Dan O'Connor
Shakespeare Unscripted is a completely improvised play in the style of William Shakespeare. Poetry, drama, comedy and romance all are possible when Impro Theatre attempts "to ascend the brightest heaven of invention."
There is no script and no net. Using only guts, wit and a few suggestions from the audience to get the show started Impro Theatre creates an entire play inspired by the Bard. Influenced by the improvisational techniques of Keith Johnstone, Mike Leigh, the Commedia dell Arte and set in a spontaneous tornado of Shakespearean ideas and characters, Impro Theatre creates a completely unique and thoroughly entertaining story every performance.
You will never see the same show twice!

"Shakespeare Unscripted is a superlative example of what theatrical improv should be." -Improv Review.com
"The real fun lies in anticipating where this patchwork story is going to go next, and in watching the actors doing whatever it takes to keep the narrative afloat." -L.A. Weekly
Opens June 26th and runs FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS at 8pm through August 1st *No show July 4th
