Sunday, JUNE 29th

WHO:
The Front Burner Fund along with several premier chefs and restaurateurs will join together to cook and raise funds to assist back of the house restaurant staff with emergency medical bills.

WHAT:
TACO THROWDOWN - loads of San Diego's culinary talents will converge at Catalina Offshore Products for a tasting of So Cal's finest tacos. Premier chefs will bring their best interpretation, ranging from yellowtail to lamb belly, to raise money for the Front Burner Fund. Along with tasty tacos, desserts are included in the cost of the event. Participants are invited to BYOC (bring your own chair). Guests will cast their vote in a friendly taco competition as well! The competition will also be judged by San Diego's own Troy Johnson, Sam the Cooking guy, Hannis Cavin from Carnitas Snack Shack and George Morris of Beaumont's Eatery.

ABOUT THE FRONT BURNER FUND:

The San Diego non-profit serves as a monetary benefactor to help cover emergency medical needs and health care costs of the independent "back of house" culinary community. The fund is supported by three annual events and the recipients are selected through an application and panel review process on a case-by-case basis.
