Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night By William Shakespeare Directed By Aaron Adair
Shakespeare goes down to the bayou in the new OSF production of "Twelfth Night, or Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler!" Viola and her twin brother, Sebastian, are shipwrecked in Illyria Parish, Louisiana, where she meets the man of her dreams, Count Orsino. Unfortunately, he is hopelessly in love with the beautiful Olivia, who does not return his affections. To be near the man she loves, Viola disguises herself as the manservant, Cesario, but is forced to dispatch love notes on the Count's behalf to Olivia. A love triangle forms when Olivia becomes infatuated with Cesario/Viola. The result is a comedy filled with great Cajun music, dancing, laughs, and romance, set around Mardi Gras and the bayous of the Great State of Louisiana at the turn of the 20th century. Come and experience some "joie de vivre" down South this summer. Aaiiieee!!!
