Toast NY Wine
We've rounded up a bunch of our favorite winemakers to celebrate the fantastic wine that's coming out of New York State. (We have tasted the 2013 vintage, we think it's gonna knock your socks right off.) Come and meet the amazing folks making wines at Palmer Vineyards, Martha Clara, Paumanok, and Brooklyn Oenology (and maybe even a couple of surprises, too.) We'll be pouring a sampling of their wines from our taps, plus our winemakers will be packing in and sampling out some of their best bottles.
Here's the scoop: $20 gets you 6 tickets. (They will probably be yellow!) Each ticket is good for a half-glass of wine from any of the winemakers, or for a tasty wine-friendly nibble from the bar. With these tickets at your disposal you can mix and match food and drink to your heart's content. Buy in advance to make sure you get yours!
In addition to our talented winemakers and their delicious beverages, we've also invited some of our favorite local chefs, to show you their favorite ways to use New York wines-- pairing, cooking, putting out grease fires. It's good stuff.
Cathy Erway of the blog "Not Eating Out in New York" and the book "The Art of Eating In" will be demoing a few Asian pairings. Free samples will abound!
