KontraBande at Berkeley Fringe
KontraBande is a play on the French words for countertenor and small ensemble. "Kontra" tenor/La Petite "Bande". The group joins the forces of its founder, English countertenor Charles Humphries, now residing in the USA; East Coast baroque star soprano Rebecca Kellerman Petretto; and instrumentalists from San Diego and the Bay Area. This concert follows recent performances in Washington, D.C. and San Diego. Single insturmetation creates an intimate feel: "Small forces, Big results". Tea served after the concert.
