An evening of New Works by Portland's Brand new Opera Company showcasing new work by Eric Stern, Annie Laurie Rosen and Catherine Bridge.
My friends, this is Eric Stern. As you know, more than ten years ago I started Vagabond Opera. Hungry Opera Machine is my latest project that seeks to build community through singing and showcasing new opera work in English. Don't let the word opera scare you. It's simply a story told in song. And for our party June 7th we'll have the bold tale of the Sepmerfitttin' Lily, new music, AND a sing-along of old timey tunes to start the evening! And, hey, it happens to be my birthday too, so if you want to come to celebrate that, I won't say no!`
