Winter Market Member Greenhouse Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony - May 9th
Tonight we celebrate our own version of micro-lending. We borrowed revenue from our Pennington store to build a 4-season high-tunnel on our farm by taking "loans" from our customers. As a result, we will be able to grow our own cold weather vegetable all through next winter. Thanks to our Winter Market Members investing their grocery bills upfront last Fall, we generated $18,000 by early December and began construction on the high-tunnel. Now it is complete and tonight we celebrate this accomplishment and the members that made it possible. Come tour the high tunnels and enjoy appetizers, beer, wine.
