You thought you knew about having breakfast for dinner, but that was before the existence of Rye Whiskey & Donuts. The Recommended Daily and Genessee Royale are collaborating on a four-course pairing of donut-inspired dishes and rye whiskey on Thursday, May 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the West Bottoms. |
Chef Wes Gartner of Voltaire, Cafe Europa's Nathan Feldmiller, and Genessee Royale's Todd Schulte and Daniel Breedlove (the duo behind Nice Sausage, as well) will be preparing one donut dish (it might be savory, it might be sweet) to go with their assigned whiskey.
Each chef will talk about the course they've prepared while you sip Templeton Rye or Dark Horse Reunion Rye or Boulevard's Rye-on-Rye. We think you get the idea.
As Fred the Baker would have told us if he had more time than 30 seconds, "it's time to make the donuts...and start drinking the whiskey."
