Poets Liberation Front: Victoria Adukwei Bulley, Anthony Anaxagorou and lisa minerva luxx
For the final Poets Liberation Front of the year, lisa minerva luxx will be joined by Victoria Adukwei Bulley and Anthony Anaxagorou. Together, they will read poems and lead an open discussion on the writers role in illuminating interiority amid catastrophic breaking news.
When the political epoch seems to call for bold expressions, how do we forge the agency to surrender to our inner life too, and what is literatures role in guiding that subjectivity? Equally, gathering inwards is not just a personal matter but an intimate one with those most trusted; how does the poem facilitate languages of interiority? What is the dream vernacular of our crisis?
We will be discussing writing, censorship, publishing, Palestine, Blackness and the private expressions of resistance. The salon is a space to actively engage in current resistance literature emerging from our political landscape. Tickets are on a sliding scale solidarity rate; please pay honest.
This is the fourth of eight events in this series. 6/8.
This event is created and hosted by lisa minerva luxx in partnership with Shubbak Festival.
Poets Liberation Front is an eight-part series generously supported by Arts Council England.

This includes offering flexible seating, sharing information about lighting or sound levels in advance, and adjusting the environment where possible.
If you have specific access needssuch as large-print materials, sensitivity to light or noise, or other requirementsplease contact us at info@shubbak.co.uk so we can discuss what is possible or explore alternative ways to participate.
