Exhibition Gallery Reception & Private Viewing at Boscobel
This season's exhibit, "Home on the Hudson: Women & Men Painting Landscapes 1825-1875", curated in collaboration with the Graduate Center of the City University of New York art history program, explores the Hudson River School of Painting by focusing on the residences of female and male painters, known and unknown, and examining the art created in and around them. The exhibit also examines the artist's physical proximity to the Hudson. Included will be sites from Piermont to Kingston and works of artists such as Sanford Gifford and Jasper Cropsey. Reception guests will enjoy a private viewing, wine reception and spectacular views of the Hudson River and Highlands from the grounds at Boscobel. For more information, visit www.Boscobel.org.
