Launching the Thrown In Sessions, monthly acoustic music sessions on a Saturday afternoon at the Deep End.
On Saturday 15 November, from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, we'll have sets by Jonni Slater, launching his new album Between The Shadows, and Mima Merrow.
Jonni Slater is a songwriter based in the Southside of Glasgow whose music ranges from intimate and heartfelt to uplifting and cinematic, mixing a love of dramatic soundscapes with classic songwriting. His performance will include video projections of self-made short films to accompany the songs.
Mima Merrow is an Irish singer-songwriter based in Glasgow. Her sound is alternative folk characterised by longing, sudden changes in direction, and melodies that ache. Mima released her debut album, Almost Home, in September 2022.
This is a family-friendly afternoon show. Alcoholic drinks will not be available, but soft drinks and snacks will be on sale.
The Deep End is an arts space and social enterprise developed by Govanhill Baths Community Trust and where Glad Radio has its studio.
