Community Conversation on Readiness: AFN Feedback Forum
Emergencies and disasters impact us all but those with Access and Functional Needs (AFN) face multiple unique challenges. This interactive session is a chance to share your voice, learn practical tools, and connect with resources to strengthen preparedness for everyone in our community.
What to Expect Scenario-Based Activity: Walk through a real-life situation using the CMIST Framework (Communication, Maintaining Health, Independence, Safety/Support Services, Transportation). Share your ideas while learning key considerations. Small Group Discussions: Break into smaller groups to explore personal preparedness strategies and connect with resources tailored to different needs. Resource Sharing & Networking: Visit community resource tables, meet local organizations, and build connections with others in your community.
