A GEO RIVERA SONDHEIM SHOW
NYC-based Director and Creative Geo Rivera, a queer Honduran-American, debuts three reimagined concepts of classic works by Stephen Sondheim, offering a bold, text-driven exploration of Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, and Passion. These miniaturized, edited productions illuminate the core truths of each piece while presenting them through a contemporary, culturally expansive lens.
Rooted in Rivera's mission to infiltrate spaces where performers of color have historically been left out, this showcase centers marginalized voices and reframes these canonical works to reflect a broader, more expansive perspective on life and humanity.
More than a reinterpretation, this evening is a love letter to the art form of theatre, to the brilliance of Sondheim, and to the countless stories left untold.
Please join us on October 18th, 2025 at 6:45PM for this fabulous showcase, with stunning talent.
