Picton Farmers' Market - Stone Soup Event
You're invited to a Farm-to-Table Community Event at the Historic Crystal Palace!
Join us for an afternoon of flavourful local bounty, where your farmers will serve up comforting soups crafted by three talented local chefs:
- Jamie Kennedy - Chicken Noodle
- Zach from Littlejohn Farm - Hearty Vegetable Minestrone; and
- Suzanne from Moonlight Kitchen - Canadian Ham & Pea.
To complement your meal, fresh bread and baguettes will be provided from The Elmbrook Farm, along other delicious treats from your local market vendors.
Bring your own bowl and spoon, and enjoy a warm, hearty experience celebrating the richness of our local farms.
Finish your feast with a sweet touch - apple crisp created by local chef Curtis MacGregor - made with apples harvested straight from The County Cider Company. Enjoy live music and a chance to win door prizes throughout the meal and reconnect with your community's incredible local food scene.
The next day, on Sunday, November 16 from 9 am to 2 pm, take a leisurely stroll through the season finale of the Picton Farmers' Market at the same charming Crystal Palace.
Come hungry, bring your bowl and spoon, bring your family and friends, and celebrate the best of our local producers!
