Larry's Family Reunion

Ever wanted an inside look into the life of the only hula-hoop champion from Ware Shoals, SC to ever head a non-profit arthouse theater? Join Nickelodeon Executive Director Larry Hembree and a whole bunch of his kin as they present LARRY'S FAMILY REUNION, Friday and Saturday June 12 and 13 on the ground floor of the former Fox Theater at 1607 Main Street. The event starts at 7pm and includes a hilarious and entertaining look at one of the South's favorite events, the family reunion. Join Larry as he presents commentary and entertainment by some of his "relative," including Granny's Got a Gig, Gerald Floyd, Laurel and Linda Posey, Whitney Vance, Harry Katzman, Phil Markert, Kim Harne and others. There will also be a good old Southern auction with some snappy items. Tickets are $25 each. All proceeds from the event will go to supporting the Nickelodeon Theatre. Audience is requested to bring a family reunion appetizer* to share. Dress is dress down.
*Family reunion appetizers include things such as deviled eggs, potato salad, homemade desserts, pickles, small sandwiches, congealed salad or any jell-o items, dips and veggies.
