AFP Educational Luncheon: May 8 at Thornblade
CULTIVATING DIVERSITY IN FUNDRAISING
We're all seeing it- the cultural landscapes of our world and community are changing. As fundraisers, our success depends on a clear understanding of these cultural landscapes. Our messages and methods must adapt, or our careers and missions will stall. But how exactly do we adaptand raise BIG dollars while we're doing it?
At our May 8 Educational Luncheon, Birgit Smith Burton will answer those questions for you.
Birgit Smith Burton has been a fundraising professional for nearly 28 years. In 1998 she joined Foundation Relations in the Office of Development at Georgia Tech. In recent years, she has led her team in raising 92% of the Institute's campaign goal for foundations with two years of the campaign remaining.
She's a fundraising superstar, and she's an expert in fundraising across diverse communities. We are extremely fortunate to have Birgit with us for an hour, and you do NOT want to miss this event.
Birgit will speak on cultivating diversity in fundraising and share insights on understanding ethnic differences and effective fundraising methods for diverse communities.
You don't want to miss this special luncheon!
