Poets Liberation Front: Shareefa Energy, the Repeat Beat Poet and lisa minerva luxx
How does the writer command the masses? In Augusts edition of Londons literary resistance
salon, luxx will be joined by the Repeat Beat Poet and Shareefa Energy. Together, they will
share literature and lead a community discussion on how writing has been used to organise and
assemble. From Black diasporic worldmaking and identity formation to poetry as pedagogy and
propaganda, this event will help us reassess how we use writing, publishing (and memory) to
get in formation.
The salon is a space to actively engage in current resistance literature emerging from our
political landscape. Tickets are on a sliding scale solidarity rate, please pay honestly. If you book
a £0 and cant make it, please cancel your ticket so that others can attend.
