Brave Hearts, nominated for a 1991 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play, is Harry S. Rintoul's poignant and wry portrait of love and loneliness in a rural prairie town. Set against the land of living skies, two men confined to the backyard at a fag party navigate the harsh realities of being gay in an isolated community during the height of the AIDS crisis. Blending humour with heartache, Brave Hearts confronts the tension between succumbing to solitude and the courage to grasp at connection in the face of fear.
The show runs approx. 75 minutes with no intermission. Seating will be a mixture of chairs and ground seating on blankets. Feel free to bring your own blanket, chair, or pillows.
