Expert Matters with Ann Christensen
EXPERT MATTERS is a monthly improv show at BETA Theater. We've taken the Armando form (a monologist + a team of improvisers) and given it a heady twist. Instead of a monologist, each month we will feature an expert in any given field who will answer audience questions pertaining to their field of expertise. A group of improvisers will perform scenes based on the information shared. It's like TedTalk and an Improv Show had one informative/hilarious show baby.
This month, our show takes place on William Shakespeare's Birthday! To celebrate, we've invited Ann Christensen from the University of Houston to discuss the role of women and women's deaths in Shakespearean plays. Ann teaches feminist lit and Shakespeare at UH.
