Sister or Servant
Dance Revels Moving History presents Sister or Servant, a unique musical masked comedy including live classical music with dancing and street acting from 18th century France. Meet Pantalone, Isabelle, and Harlequina, traditional commedia dellarte characters. Help them play tricks on each other! Will young Nicolette be adopted or be their servant? The program includes lots of audience participation during the show, and a mini-workshop for children that follows. The workshop includes learning a baroque contradance and the minuet, as well as some basics of mask work.
This program is produced and directed by Dance Revels Moving History. Jane Peck and Josette Antomarchi as actor/dancers and Judith Eisner, violinist.
The program is for family audiences, and recommended for children ages 4-11.
