Mezcal isn't my thing: A Mezcal-and-chocolate tasting for people who don't love Mezcal
Taco Mucho
Oak Park, IL
Share this event:

It feels like you've been hearing about Mezcal forever   how it's the next big thing. But you tried it and ... it's not a thing. At least, not for you.

Well, maybe that's true. Or maybe you've just not had the Mezcal that speaks to your palate. Join us at Taco Mucho on Saturday, August 23, from 2 to 4pm, to maybe find the Mezcal that does speak to you  or to maybe find out, with absolute certainty, that it's just not your thing.

This is an entirely free tasting, led by Lou Bank of the not-for-profit SACRED. He'll share with you five different heritage agave spirits from five different communities, each with its own distinct flavor and its own distinct story.

Lou will also share with you five craft chocolates, each made with different cacao varieties. If the Mezcal doesn't work for you, the chocolate will at least cleanse your palate   or maybe you'll find that you only like Mezcal when you pair it with fine chocolate. (You can always use a new hobby, right?)
