An Introduction to Screen Printing
In this class students will learn to use their own designs, drawings, or photographs to make a one color screen print on paper. Registration for multi-color printmaking will also be demonstrated during class. Students will acquire the skills that they need to work independently and those who wish to continue exploring multi-color printing at Myrtle Press will be prepared to work on their own during open studio hours. Four classes- Materials fee includes emulsion, mesh, black ink and 1 large sheet of paper. Students should expect to provide transparencies (2nd class), additional paper for printing (optional 3rd class) and colored ink (optional - 3rd class). Please wait until after the materials overview at the first class before purchasing any additional/optional materials.
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, May 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th, from 1-4pm.
