Comedians Art Krug & David Wright
Art Krug has payed a lot of dues in his 23 year rise to the middle. He has performed at comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, and hotel lounges...all of which helped to prepare him for the day when he would appear on a tour bus full of sleepy retirees driving around downtown Portland, Oregon, his home town. "Making them laugh was the easy part", he remembers. " The real challenge was keeping my thumb on that button for 90 minutes." When his agent got a call early in his career asking if she had a singing gorilla that could embarass someone at a sushi bar, she said, "No. But I have a comedian.", setting up a series of events that ended with the client calling to say they'd pay the 75 dollars but "he didn't even try". So give Art a call. He'll be sure to liven up your biker picnic, fraternity hazing, or mall opening. And if it's stand up comedy, he can do that too.

Most wives occasionally think their husbands are a joke. David's wife really thought so! She recommended he enroll in a stand-up comedy extension class at the University of WA. That was eight years ago, and Wright has been causing giggles and laughter in comedy clubs and casinos ever since.
It may seem like an oxymoron for an engineer to also be a comedian. But Wright sees no disparity in this.
When asked what he aims for during a show, Wright says that he tries to get at least four laughs a minute. Some nights are better than others, he admits, but he thinks he's addicted to getting laughs.
