Event
Comedians Brad Brake & Justin Rupple
Originally from Montreal, Brad now makes his home in Seattle where he is an accomplished comedian and actor. He has performed at many colleges in Canada and the U.S., acted in both television commercials and film, and was a regular on the sketch comedy troop HAX TV. He's worked with the likes of Dave Chappelle, Bobcat Goldwaite, Howie Mandel and comics from NBCs Last Comic Standing to include finalists Ty Barnet and Rich Vos. Most recently, Brad toured with Hall of Fame wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper in his one-man show.
Brad's show is so physical he once dislocated his knee - but being a trooper, he finished the show to a standing ovation. An energetic powerhouse when it comes to standup comedy, his original style and go-for-broke enthusiasm makes his act one that is not to be missed.
Brad describes his show as a cross between a circus clown and The Three Stooges on speed. Some comedy purists might prefer a style that resembles a politicians speech, a lot of words, but not very entertaining. Brads approach is that people go out to be entertained, not to be educated or talked at. A perfect combination of comedic timing, material, production elements and the love of performing is what makes Brad Brakes high energy show something to behold.
Featuring for Brake will be Justin Rupple! Fresh off a 4th place finish in the finals 2008 Seattle International Comedy Competition, Justin Rupple is continuing to take Seattle by storm.
After four years in standup comedy, Justin Rupple is one of the fastest rising young stars on the comedy scene. He won the Northwest Laugh-Off Competition in 2006, and is now the winner of the 2008 Giggles Laugh-Off.
Justin is originally from Issaquah, Washington and graduated from Washington State University in 2005 with a BA in Broadcasting. He hosted the Mirabeau Room Comedy Night which was featured in the Seattle Weekly, the Seattle Times, and The Stranger. He also produced and headlined his own show at the Mainstage Comedy Club in Seattle. He has traveled throughout the West Coast performing in venues from bar's to theaters.
He has been seen in local and national commercial spots for Old Spice and Volkswagen. His mix of stand-up, music and impersonations is unlike anyone else.
He has performed with Bill Burr, Greg Giraldo, Mark Marin, Dana Gould, Kermet Apio, and David Crowe, and has formed a side project, the musical comedy duo with John Saxen called Co Core.
