Les Dames d'Escoffier--A Food & Wine Tasting on the North Fork
Join us on a full-day, Food & Wine Sunday outing on the North Fork of Long Island, leaving around 9:00 a.m. from New York City. First stop: a private tour of Satur Farms, plus refreshments, conducted by Dame Paulette Satur and her husband Eberhard Mueller. Next, a visit to Catapano Farm, producer of the finest goat cheese in the U.S., where we'll learn how cheese is made and enjoy a superb tasting. Then on to Paumanok Vineyards--Dame Ursula Massoud's estate artisan family-owned winery. We'll tour their vineyard and taste some of their award-wining wines. Luncheon will be served at the vineyard, celebrating the bounty of the North Fork. Our delectable meal will be prepared by Chef Tom Schaudel, who is champion of the green and local food movement and has received rave reviews in The New York Times for his food. Then, we'll board our private bus around 4:00 p.m. for our return to NYC.
