Anatomy in Focus- The Hip
The deep hip muscles support and stabilize us through daily activities and athletic pursuits. In an office environment, these muscles often become tight, leading to joint degeneration and lower back pain. Weak and imbalanced hip muscles can increase our vulnerability to injury, and increase wear on the joints, leading to potential arthritis and hip replacement surgery. Support the health of your hips through this exploration of the deep muscles, and by learning stretching and strengthening movements that can maintain these joints through a lifetime of activity.
The workshop will be led by Gregory Gonzales, who brings his formal kinesthesiology background and professional ballet background, and Amy Anderson, a Dance Medicine specialist and a Gold Certified Pilates teacher accredited through the Pilates Method Alliance.
