Cooking for the Sultan with Chef Lesa Sullivan
Lesa Sullivan is a chef and food educator with more than 13 years experience. She has taught with several culinary organizations including Pacific Culinary Studio, 21 Acres Farm School, Sur La Table, PCC Natural Markets, Chefshop.com, and FareStart's Adult Culinary Program. She is the owner of lesacooks.com, a personal chef service that brings local, sustainable, and healthy foods to folks in the Greater Puget Sound area.
In this class, we will savor recipes from the kitchens of Topkapı Palace as we discuss this rich history of this ancient cuisine, and re-live Lesa's culinary trip to Istanbul. Together we'll enjoy: Mastabe (Rich Yogurt with Chard), Kisir (Cracked Wheat Salad), Salma Asi (Saffron Lamb Stew) and Çevizli Tel Kadayif (Almond Pastry with Orange Flower Water).
You'll also receive Lesa's bonus recipes for Mouhammara (Walnut and Red Pepper Dip) and Babaganoush (Roasted Eggplant Dip).
