Kantorei: Testaments

A notable light in our city's choral rmament--Paul Horsley, KC Independent

This concert will be presented in two volumes. The Old Testament will be represented by Psalms and texts from Isaiah and Song of Solomon. Included will be the lesser known Hebrew Polyphony of Salamone Rossi. The Old Testament will also feature Kantorei's rst ever collaboration with William Jewell College's choral program! Dr. Anthony Maglione will conduct as Kantorei joins forces with singers from the college to perform Dr. Maglione's own "Set Me As A Seal."

The New Testament will consist of two more substantial works. "The Beatitudes" by recent Grammy Winner Arvo Pärt and "Crucixus" by British composer Paul Mealor will feature yet another collaboration with organist Leora Nauta.
